Foreign Exchange. Money transfer payments will normally be made in the currency of the destination country (in some countries payment is available only in U.S. dollars or other available currency). All currency is converted at Western Union's rate of exchange applying at the time specified by the sender in accordance with the Terms and Conditions. Western Union uses an exchange rate which is comparable to rates used by bureaux de change and other retail currency exchange facilities which offer exchange of comparable amounts of currency to the general public. Western Union's exchange rate may be less favourable than some publicly reported commercial exchange rates used in transactions between banks and other financial institutions. Any difference between the currency exchange rate offered to customers and the currency exchange rate received by Western Union will be kept by Western Union (and, in some instances, it's agents) in addition to the transfer charges.
